The Tastemakers Table is a five-course pairing experience hosted by Fruitcraft founder Alan Haghighi.

In 2009, Alan discovered a hidden history the American consumer has largely missed. Before Prohibition, American producers — including Benjamin Franklin and other founding fathers — made alcohol from fruit as a matter of course. Across Europe today, a deep tradition of eau de vie continues, spirits distilled from fruit itself. What Alan found wasn't something new to create. It was something old to recover — the oldest form of alcohol nature ever made. Fruit ferments on its own; this is what nature intended when it made alcohol in the first place. And yet here in America, where our shelves are supposed to reflect access to the highest quality of everything, the experience has been almost entirely lost.

Fruitcraft was built to bring it back. World-class sparkling wines made from fruit, bottled under our Vino Flora label ($50 per bottle). House-made eau de vie distilled from those same wines ($150 per bottle). A San Diego winery, distillery, and event venue quietly leading the way on affordable luxury in private events and weddings — and now opening more widely through a members-only tasting room, pop-up hours, and the Tastemakers Table.

When Alan conducts a Tastemakers Table, seats will retail for $100 per person. Those who have been invited to the complimentary soft-launch will be the first to partake of this exclusive experience. This evening is a sneak peek — the first tastemaker seats at something built to become a national trend starting here in San Diego.
